I am a huge fan of golf launch monitors as a tool to help golfers of all abilities improve their game.
With that said, prices for launch monitors have a huge range, from a couple hundred bucks to over $10,000.
The main reason for this is technology and accuracy.
Higher end launch monitors are meant for either high quality golf simulator use, or to provide extremely accurate data to teaching pros who are working with better players.
If you are simply looking for a launch monitor to help you get your yardages dialed in on the golf course and identify shot patterns with each of your clubs, then you will want to stick with these lower cost launch monitors.
Based upon my research, these are the best launch monitors for under $500 heading into 2026.

If your goal is to simply get a bit more dialed in with your yardages and to work on swing speed, this is the device for you as it is the least expensive.

My top pick – best launch monitor under $500
You will get benefit from each of these launch monitors.
However, if you want decent data and the ability to play some simulator golf at home, I recommend the Garmin Approach R10.
You can also find the Garmin Approach R10 at The Indoor Golf Shop for the same price as Amazon and you will get the benefit of their customer service.
If you also need a net and/or a hitting mat, they will also have you covered.
Enjoy!
