The Scott Cole Teaching Philosophy revolves around a few core principles:
1. In order to swing the club properly, it is critical that the golfer develop a sound, athletic, set up position. Flaws in the set up, such as poor posture or alignment, automatically lead to a golf swing that requires compensations.
2. The golf swing requires proper sequencing of body movements. If the student develops the ability to move the body with the proper sequence, combined with a proper set up, the golf club will be placed in the proper position at impact, which will lead to consistent ball striking.
3. I believe all golfers should spend at least as much time practicing their short game and putting as they do on full swing practice. Developing a sound short game is the key to scoring.
4. Golf is NOT a game of quick fixes. Improvements in any aspect of the golf game take time, effort and FOCUSED practice. I provide my students with all the tools necessary to make these improvements in the form of drills, newsletters, performance tracking sheets, exercises and various other strategies.
5. Finally, you will find that I am very passionate about my teaching, and consider myself to be a coach as much as a teacher. I will motivate you to get better!
