Golf Tip – Set Your 2012 Goals Now

Each year at the start of a new year, we set new goals in some areas of our lives.  Many of us set a weight loss goal, goals for work, goals for saving money, etc.  Some golfers actually do set goals for their golf game, but often these are just general goals that are ultimately forgotten later in the year.

Make this year different.  Even if you are new to the game, set a goal, and then write down a plan on how you will get better at this game.  You should set goals for every area of your game, from your tee shots on down to your short putts.  Put together a plan for improvement in each area of your game, and determine how much time you can realistically spend on improving your game.

Once you have a the long term goals and plan in place, set up some short term goals, and put together a weekly practice plan.  Then, for each practice session, develop a practice plan.

If you are able to bring more focus to your practice, I guarantee you will see results in the coming year.  So don’t wait, get started on your plan now!
